My advice about Pinterest is to never go on while hungry...there are too many good recipes on there that look sooooo good. Here are a few that I am determined to try.
My boyfriend's mom actually made this one last week. It was delicious!
I had the opportunity to review this amazing new album by Kyle Sherman called "Hear Me". Sometimes I am leery of reviewing new artists that I have never heard of before, but "Hear Me" is definitely worth checking out! I have to say that I really like the whole album. It is very worshipful and just fun. I think that my favorite track is the title track, Hear Me. I also really like, You are the Only One and Come to Me.
Here is the album bio:
"Fort Worth-based singer-songwriter Kyle Sherman recently signed on as the flagship artist to brand new label RayLynn Records, an opportunity that presented itself during a time period when a record deal wasn't even on his radar.
"It's crazy how God works," Kyle says. 'Five years ago, I pushed pretty hard to do my own thing as a singer-songwriter, but every well I approached would dry up. It clearly wasn't the right time." So Kyle continued on a path of leading worship, taking a full-time role as worship leader at Lifechurch.TV's Fort Worth campus under the leadership of renowned pastor/author Craig Groeschel.
Just 3-years later Kyle made it back to Nashville, pouring his heart into a microphone at Sony studio with veteran producer and country singer-songwriter Mark Collie making his first album. God is faithful. Hear Me, the result of those sessions, is an eclectic and authentic mix of rootsy, southern soul."

This blog was originally started to share my card creations while I was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I don't get to stamp nearly as often as I would like anymore, but I still enjoy seeing creative card ideas and saving those ideas for later when I have time to stamp. Here are 3 of my favorite simple cards I have pinned on pinterest.
In October I had the opportunity to watch an online preview of the movie "The Mighty Macs" before it came out in theaters. I shared that I just love this movie and I thought you all would too. Now the movie is out on DVD and I would definitely recommend seeing it if you haven't yet (or even if you have!). The movie stars Carla Gugino, Marley Shelton, David Boreanaz and Ellen Burstyn.
Here is a little about the movie: "It's 1971. Cathy Rush is a woman ahead of her time ... and she's about to embark on an adventure for the ages. A new era is dawning in the country and in collegiate athletics, where a national champion will be crowned for the first time in women's basketball.
In the lead up to this historical season, major universities are preparing their game plans to win that first title. Meanwhile a tiny all-women's Catholic college in Philadelphia has a more modest goal: find a coach before the season begins. Providentially, Cathy Rush is about to find Immaculata College.
Recently married, Cathy is dealing with the aftermath of a truncated playing career. While cultural norms would have her staying at home, she's willing to do the hard work necessary to help her new team reach their goals—or perhaps she's just trying to achieve her unfulfilled dreams through them.
From the beginning, her challenges are as imposing as the big-school teams Immaculata will face on the court. Cathy learns there is no gymnasium on campus, she receives little support from the school's Mother Superior, and the school is in dire financial straits. To top it off, she may not even have enough players to field a team!
While it appears the Macs don't have a prayer, all hope is not lost. With the help of Sister Sunday—a spunky assistant coach—and the support of a booster club of elderly nuns, Coach Rush creates a new game plan that just might bring the team—and the school—together.
Will this pioneer buck cultural norms and spur her rag-tag team to unexpected heights? Or will her hard-driving ways create a wedge between the coach and everyone around her? One thing's for certain: there's never been anyone like Cathy Rush at Immaculata!"

I have a new family friendly movie to tell you all about called, "A Mile in His Shoes."
Only a miracle can help baseball coach Arthur "Murph" Murphy (Dean Cain) and his losing minor league baseball team. As Murph sets out to recruit new talent for the team, he stumbles upon Mickey (Luke Schroder), a young farmer with an incredible pitcher's arm. However, Mickey's parents are reluctant to allow him to join the team because he has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism. Murph convinces Mickey's parents that life in the minor league will benefit their unique son, but he doesn't realize just how much his new recruit will help the team's game and, more importantly, their spirit. Based on the true story, A Mile in His Shoes is an inspirational film that celebrates faith, determination and the power of friendship.
Those who read my blog know I am a big fan of family friendly movies, and this movie did not disappoint. The trailer makes it look like this movie is about an underdog team that begins to win, but it is so much more than that. I like how the movie portrays the topic of Asperger's Syndrome in a respectful way and in a way that shows kids (and adults) that being different than other people is okay and everyone should be treated with kindness and respect. I also like how the movie shows different kinds of growth in Mickey, the coach, the teammates, and Mickey's parents.
