Another digital scrapbook attempt. I love this kit from Shabby Princess. It is called Sweetie Pie. Definitely a great choice for scrapbooking my sweetie pie nieces. :) Fonts are from kevinandamanda.com.

Digital Hugs and Kisses
I got Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio for Christmas this year. What a fun program! It will take me a while to get used to it and figure out printing pages, so we will see how that goes. Here is my first attempt at a page.

another try at digiscrapping
I tried out digiscrapping about a year ago and made a bunch of layouts with a trial version of Photoshop elements 5. Loved the program. Want to buy it when I have the money. I just saw that they came out with a version 6.0 so I thought I would try that out also to see which one I really want to buy. I had such a hard time making just one layout in PSE 6--Anyone else find this program harder to use than version 5??? Maybe it is just me since I AM a beginner and don't know all the tricks. I really wanted to use a brush element on this layout, but couldn't get it to work. So here is my simple layout. There actually is a white border around the page, you just can't see it! If anyone is familiar with this version PLEASE give me a tip or two. I have 29 days left on my trial and I want to get the most use out of the program as possible to see its potential!

Here is a digiscrapping page in progress. I know that it needs something yet, but I just don't know what.

The journaling reads...
My mom was excited to finally have a girl after three boys. She thought dressing me up all girly would be so much fun. To her disappointment I just wanted to be like the boys. Haha sorry mom! I still don’t dress up very often, probably because I don’t think I am very good at it. This picture was taken at Heather and Duane’s wedding. It was the first time I had dressed up in a long time. I bought a new dress, curled my hair, and put on makeup. I have to say I felt beautiful that night!

Love your family
I just want to start today's post with a quote I found on Alora's blog. It has been on my mind since I saw it last week so I thought I would share it with the rest of you.
"Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible." ~Corrie Ten Boom

On to Family. There is a lot I could say about family. Sometimes they hurt you, sometimes they make you want to scream, sometimes they make you want to hurt them...but at the end of the day they are your still your family and still there for you always. I didn't get to spend Christmas with my family this year and it has been tough. All the things that usually drive me crazy about them I missed :( So I thought I would scrap pictures from this summer when we all got together. We were celebrating my parents 35th wedding anniversary!
The journalling reads "Sometimes you all drive me crazy and make me want to scream, but you also make me laugh until my cheeks and stomach hurt. I want you to know that...{I will always love you}"

Branching out

I have seen so many nice pages with digiscrapping that I decided to try it again. (I tried to do a page when it first became popular, but the program I used messed with my computer system.) This time I downloaded the trial of Photoshop Elements. Here is my first completed page. I am pretty proud of it! Kits: Kendall by Leah Riordan, and Splendid by Shabby Princess
Template (altered a little): by RQH (Ruby)
