Three Favorites Thursday--New recipes to try

My advice about Pinterest is to never go on while hungry...there are too many good recipes on there that look sooooo good.  Here are a few that I am determined to try.

My boyfriend's mom actually made this one last week.  It was delicious!

This one looks so good that I wish I had the ingredients in the house to make it for dinner tonight!

And dessert is the best part!

3 Favorites Thursday--Cards

This blog was originally started to share my card creations while I was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  I don't get to stamp nearly as often as I would like anymore, but I still enjoy seeing creative card ideas and saving those ideas for later when I have time to stamp.  Here are 3 of my favorite simple cards I have pinned on pinterest.

Love these cute, funny owls

I think this card is so creative!

Three Favorites Thursday--Christmas Ideas

Time for more Christmas ideas from Pinterest!

This first one is a tree skirt that totally caught my eye.  Like, Like, Like the fabric used! I need to find a pattern to make myself one of these.

This is cute if you are into paper crafting.  I need to look through my stash of paper to see if I have any that would work.  I like the colors used for this one.  The site this came from isn't available anymore, but it looks pretty easy to figure out from the picture ;)

This sign is adorable and I might try to use my Silhouette to make one of my own.

Three Favorites Thursday--Thanksgiving Decor

I know I shared Christmas last week (and will again next week), but this week I am backing up to Thanksgiving and sharing a few of my favorite Thanksgiving decor Pinterest ideas.  There is still time to make these before Thanksgiving hits!

November already started, but this would be great to do with a family.

This is an easier way for family to write down the things they are thankful for.

I wish I had a saw to cut cute blocks like this.

And as a bonus:  I think this cute little turkey puppet would go great with a cute little Thanksgiving song I know.  It is about a turkey on a barnyard fence.  When I taught Kindergarten I taught it to my class and they loved it so much they wanted to sing it for the rest of the year.

Are you making any decorations for Thanksgiving?

Three Favorites Thursday--Christmas Ornaments

I know that it isn't even Halloween yet, but I can't wait to share these fun Christmas ornament ideas.  All crafters know that you don't wait until the season is here to make stuff anyways.

I think this little gingerbread cookie guy is so adorable.  Looks pretty simple to make too.

The next person whose wedding I attend will be getting this. :)  I think it is such a great idea.

Are you making any ornaments this year?

My last one is a post I just recently shared.  How to make fun shaped crayons from broken crayons

Three Favorites Thursday--Pinning from blogs

Sorry about skipping 3 Favorites last Thursday--They switched something with Pinterest and the sizing was all off when I tried to embed.  I don't know what they did, but it is more of a pain to share photos now on the blog.

One of the cool things about Pinterest is that you can repin other people's pins or you can take a picture from a website or blog and pin your own. I think most bloggers would agree that it is pretty cool to have your ideas pinned. It feels good to have people recognize your hard work and it brings new people to your blog. Here are three favorite pins that I found on blogs and pinned (Not at all saying I was the first to pin any of these, just that I hadn't seen them on Pinterest before I pinned them.)

Love the idea of using a drawer for a shelf!

This is on my to-do list when I figure out how to collect enough CapriSun.

I was browsing websites with my mom when we found this.  My mom thought it would be perfect for an herb garden!

Next week I will share 3 favorite posts of mine that have been pinned on Pinterest!  I did the happy dance the first time I saw someone had pinned MY stuff!

Three Favorites Thursday--Pinterest Ideas I have tried

A person could spend all day on Pinterest finding ideas and pinning them with the intentions to do them later.  I haven't had a chance to do many projects or recipes that I have pinned yet, but here are 3 ideas that I found on Pinterest and I tried.

This pin is actually focusing on the night stand.  I however, focused on the bedspread that you can barely see and decided I NEEDED to have it.  I just switched to a Queen sized bed, made a new headboard, and needed a bedspread for the bed.  After posting this picture on Facebook, my friend, Theresa, identified the bedspread and where to find it. My mom grabbed it for me at Target on clearance.  YAY!

Here is my version. It is still at my parents' house so I can't show it on my bed yet.

The caption for this one says "Take one of your ring clips and turn it around the corner so that it’s hanging on the bracket rather than the rod. Then run the rest of your clips on the rod like normal."

Can I just say this is one of the best tips I found on Pinterest?!?!  Before seeing this I had a huge gap and a person could see into my kitchen from my living room window, especially at night.  It always bothered me.  This tip totally fixed my problem. Here is my version

This last one I wouldn't necessarily call a favorite tip.  The caption says "LESS Than $1 - DIY Wreath form!! Visit the plumbing dept at your nearest Hardware store - grab a six foot long piece of foam tubing for $.97!!"   Great idea, right!?!

So I went to Home Depot and I bought the $.97 piece of foam tubing. I was so excited.  I made this wreath The problem is that the foam tubing isn't sturdy enough and doesn't want to keep its shape.  It might look okay in the picture right after I fixed it, but now it is more like an oval shaped wreath.  Still cute, just not what I was looking for.  Maybe there is a way to secure the tubing better so it would keep its shape?

Three Favorites Thursday--Costumes

I am not a huge Halloween fan, but I love seeing cute and creative costume ideas for kids and adults.  Here are three I found on Pinterest.

This one is my favorite.  What is cuter than a family BLT?!

Love these little guys!

This is the cutest Starbucks mascot ever!

I finally figured out how to share where I am on Pinterest.  So if you are interested in following me... Follow Me on Pinterest

Three Favorites Thursday--Silhouette

I have a Silhouette project that I have been working on and can't wait to share.  In keeping with the Silhouette theme my three favorites this week are all Pinterest pins that could be made using a Silhouette.

Isn't this just the cutest Christmas decoration.  I need to find out where I can get a shadow box like that!

This made me laugh.

I love the simplicity of this one.  Great reminder.

Three Favorites Thursday--Teacher Gifts

In honor of  the start of  a new school year coming up (some of you have started, but we still have over a week of summer left here).  I thought this week's three Pinterest favorites should be teacher gifts.  These are cute and inexpensive ways to say "thank you" to teachers.  You could adapt these for other people in your life that you want to say thank you to also.

Three Favorites Thursday--Recipes to try

This week's edition of Three Favorites Thursday is all about food!  Here are 3 recipe ideas I have pinned on Pinterest to try out.  Click the picture to go to Pinterest or click next to "source" under the picture to go to the original website where the recipe was found.

Coconut Chicken with Apricot Sauce.  Looks like it would be a great sweet and slightly salty combination.  Anything with Coconut is high on my list to try.

I actually bought the ingredients for this, but haven't tried it out yet.

This one I am not sure about, but again it has the sweet and salty combo.  I will have to try and see. :)

Three Favorites Thursday

I don't know about anyone else, but I have been addicted to Pinterest lately.  I love all the cool ideas I can find on there!  I thought I would share a few of my recent favorites.
