Lime Green Zippered Clutch

I made this clutch as a gift for someone graduating from high school this week.  I thought it would be perfect for an ID, cell phone, keys, and some money while roaming around campus, to throw in a backpack on the way to class, or for a night out. :) The recipient said her favorite colors are lime green and aqua so I thought this was the perfect fabric for a little purse!  (the aqua looks very blue on my screen, but it really isn't)

This was my first time sewing something with a zipper so I was a little bit nervous.  I checked out these 2 zipper tutorials:  Make it and love it and See Kate Sew  Both have great instructions!

Here is the finished product:

And a view of the inside with a cute little pocket for a license or credit card.

Congrats S. on graduating from high school!   Woohoo!

Very nice! I had a go at making one of these myself today (Cath Kidston, Sew version)....my first one was a bit of a disaster, but the second time it looked much better! Will have to try again and hopefully it'll be 3rd time lucky.
