Quite a while ago I read on a blog (not a clue which blog) how someone took a cute button and cut the shank off to make a ring. I saw this adorable flower button at Joann's and I knew it would be perfect for a ring!
The hard part was actually finding a ring blank for the flower. I had to have my Sister-In-Law mail me one that she had found in IL.
There is a specific tool to cut off the shank on a button, but I just used one of my jewelry pliers and cracked it off. I used Gorilla super glue to glue the flower onto the ring blank.
Super easy, super cute!
Here are a few parties I link to:

It is perfect for a ring! Not sure if you have one nearby, but Hobby Lobby has ring blanks. You have to look closely in the jewelry section, but they have a few. Thanks for linking up with DIY under $5!
