ESV Family Devotional Bible Review and Giveaway.

I think it is so important to read the Bible with your kids from a young age.  When I was a child we read a chapter from the Bible and discussed it every night after dinner.  It taught me the importance of knowing God's word and promoted the habit of consistent Bible reading and seeking God through His word.  It is a habit my husband and I have continued.
Sometimes it is hard for young kids to understand what is going on in different Bible stories.  That is one of the reasons I really like the ESV Family Devotional Bible.  The Bible retells 130 stories with colorful illustrations.

The ESV Family Devotional Bible is designed to help families read and apply God’s Word together. This full-color edition features the complete ESV text interspersed with engaging illustrations and gospel-centered devotions related to key Bible stories—guiding families through the entirety of God’s Word over the course of a year. Each devotion also includes discussion questions and suggestions for additional reading, helping families develop a habit of reading the Bible together and applying its truth to all of life.

Things I like about this Bible:

*The stories are easy to understand.  They are a simple retelling of the Bible story.

*Each retelling also has 3 questions and a key verse.

*The whole Bible is there.  You can choose to read the Bible with the devotional stories or without.

*I like that it has illustrations to help the reader picture how the scenes might have looked.  One thing I don't care for is that I think the characters look more caucasian than Hebrew/Jewish.

I would definitely recommend this Bible for families.  If you are interested in finding out more or getting a copy for yourself you can check out these links:
