Youth Retreat

I had the opportunity to go on our church's high school retreat this weekend. We went up to Mile High Pines--GREAT CAMP. I would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a camp to go to. The weekend was a blast.

Just a quick overview (in no particular order):
*a pretty good sled run with a jump.
*snowball fights with great snowball snow. (those of you who live in snow areas will get this...the weather has to be the perfect temp. for good packy snow.)
*Great food.
*Fun times with our youth group.
*Great music from the band and a speaker that made the students dig deep into their own lives.

Our theme song for the weekend was so powerful. I thought I would share it because the words are great. My favorite part is the bridge.

Hosanna by Hillsong

I see the king of glory
Coming down the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes, the whole earth shakes
I see his love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing, the people sing

Chorus
Hosanna, hosanna
Hosanna in the highest

Verse 2
I see a generation
Rising up to take the place
With selfless faith, with selfless faith
I see a new revival
Starting as we pray and seek
We're on our knees, we're on our knees

Bridge
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks yours
Everything I am for your kingdom's cause
As I walk from earth into eternity

Hosanna
